Body of Alberta man swept away last month found in Bow River east of Calgary

OKOTOKS, Alta. - The body of a man found in the Bow River east of Calgary has been identified.

Okotoks RCMP say the body of Justin MacNeil, who was 19, was found July 5.

MacNeil was reported missing on June 22 after he went for a swim in the Highwood River near Nature's Hideaway Campground.

Friends who were with him said he was immediately swept away by the current.

The river had been under a flood advisory due to heavy rain.
