KELOWNA, B.C. - A bizarre accident in the Okanagan Valley has killed a 67-year-old Cawston, B.C., man.
The unnamed victim died Sunday afternoon moments after parking his four-wheel-drive vehicle at the side of a forest service road east of Kelowna.
Witnesses say the vehicle started to slide over a bank and the victim lunged to try to get back in.
Both the man and the car were swept over the bank, dropping 80 metres.
First responders worked for several hours to pry the man from the wreckage but he was announced dead at the scene.
An investigation is underway but RCMP say drugs and alcohol have already been ruled out. (CKIZ)
