Police investigators now say Regina hospital incident not a stabbing

REGINA - Regina police say they're no longer investigating what was reported as a stabbing at a city hospital because it wasn't a stabbing after all.

Police initially said they were called to the Pasqua Hospital Monday morning after getting a report that a 69-year-old man was stabbed a number of times by an unknown assailant.

However, investigators now say it appears the injuries were self-inflicted.

The man is being treated in hospital for his injuries.
