Intimidate earns upset win over Sebastian K S in Maple Leaf Trot event

CAMPBELLVILLE, Ont. - Intimidate caught favourite Sebastian K S at the finish to capture the $603,000 Maple Leaf Trot on a wet Saturday night.

Sebastian K S, the 1/5 favourite, took the lead just before the half-mile mark and looked poised to earn the win but Intimidate, a 45/1 longshot, caught the eight-year Swedish horse at the wire in 1:54.2 on a sloppy track at Mohawk Racetrack.

Market Share, last year's champion, was third in the 10-horse field.

On June 28, Sebastian K S won the Sun Invitational at Pocono Downs by seven lengths in 1:49 to become the fastest trotter in harness racing history.
