Isabelle Prévost, Air Algérie Passenger, Is From Sherbrooke, Que. (TWEET)

Isabelle Prévost has been confirmed as one of the Canadians who was travelling aboard Air Algérie Flight AH5017, which is believed to have crashed over Mali after it went missing on Thursday.

She died in the crash, according to The Montreal Gazette.

The Sherbrooke, Que. woman's husband confirmed to Radio-Canada that she was on the flight that was travelling from Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso to Algiers, Algeria before it disappeared from radar, CBC News reported.

Wreckage from the plane has been found close to the village of Boulikessi, Mali, near the border with Burkina Faso, according to a presidential aide from the northwest African country.

Prévost, a 35-year-old mother of three, was in Burkina Faso for 10 days and was expected to arrive back in Quebec on Thursday afternoon, according to TVA.

She was travelling with a family of four that had just attended a wedding anniversary in the country, the Gazette reported.

The family has been identified as a Burkinabé-Canadian couple with two children who lived in Longueuil, Que.
