Small Alberta city gets outside help to battle devastating fire in three homes

LACOMBE, Alta. - A fire has destroyed three homes in a central Alberta community.

The blaze broke out overnight in Lacombe, about 125 kilometres south of Edmonton.

Lacombe fire Chief Ed Van Delden says there were no injuries when the houses burned in the Henners Point neighbourhood in the city's north end.

Van Delden says firefighters from Blackfalds, Clive and Bentley helped Lacombe crews contain the flames.

There is no word on the cause of the fire or a damage estimate. (CKGY)
