WHITECOURT, Alta. - Four people on board a helicopter that spun, hit trees and rolled in a remote area west of Edmonton have suffered minor injuries.
Chris Krepski with the Transportation Safety Board of Canada says three passengers and a pilot were on a Bell 206 helicopter when "it encountered a loss of tail rotor effectiveness due to the wind."
He says the people on board were doing pine beetle survey work west of Whitecourt at the time.
Krepski says the helicopter is owned by Valhalla Helicopter and was extensively damaged.
The board is investigating.
