Frank Underwood Prank Calls Hillary Clinton Ahead Of Bill's Birthday

►Frank Underwood Prank Calls Hillary Clinton

Maybe Frank Underwood isn't the smartest person in Washington after all.

On Friday, actor Kevin Spacey reprised his role as the ruthless “House of Cards” title character in a new video to celebrate former U.S. President Bill Clinton’s upcoming birthday on Aug. 19.

In the video, Underwood works in cahoots with the former president to find out what present his wife, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, is planning to give him. Underwood decides to give Hillary a call from the Oval Office and puts on his best Bill accent to impersonate her husband.

“I told you, this is a very personal decision that I will make when I’m ready,” Clinton says, answering from “a rectangular office.” It’s a familiar response the former politician has given whenever the topic of a possible presidential run comes up.

The conversation then shifts to daughter Chelsea Clinton’s pregnancy – to which Underwood suggests the names Frank and Claire, Underwood’s wife’s first name.

But Hillary doesn’t buy the ruse and cuts straight to the chase, bringing viewers back to reality: “Kevin, will you just please just sign my husband’s birthday card already.”

The video is a part of a Clinton Foundation campaign to send well wishes to the former president ahead of his 68th birthday, a known “House of Cards” fan.

According to an interview with People Magazine, Clinton admitted she and her husband are big fans of the Netflix political drama, saying they “totally binge-watched the first season.”
