Historic Moment Recreated At Premiers' Meeting In Charlottetown (TWEET)

Canada's Premiers Recreate A Historic Moment

The heads of Canada's provinces are currently in Charlottetown, P.E.I. for the 55th Annual Premiers' Conference.

Outside meetings to discuss topics such as job creation and economic growth, they managed to recreate a historic photo of the Fathers of Confederation on the steps of Government House.

The fathers had their photo taken while they were in P.E.I. for the Charlottetown Conference in 1864, at which they discussed the possibility of uniting Britain's North American colonies.

One-hundred and fifty years later, contemporary premiers stood in their footsteps.

Truly, a part of our heritage.
