Bruce Levenson: Is selling Hawks the right decision?

On the heels of Donald Sterling, another NBA owner finds himself in hot water, only this time Bruce Levenson isn’t fighting it.

The Atlanta Hawks co-owner announced Sunday he’s selling controlling interest of his team after he self-reported an email in July that he wrote in August 2012, calling it "inappropriate and offensive."

"If you're angry about what I wrote, you should be," Levenson said Sunday. "I'm angry at myself, too. It was inflammatory nonsense. We all may have subtle biases and preconceptions when it comes to race, but my role as a leader is to challenge them, not to validate or accommodate those who might hold them."

Read Levenson’s full email to Atlanta GM Danny Ferry.
