Riders' QB Darian Durant out for next game with injured arm

The Saskatchewan Roughriders will be going to a backup quarterback for their next game after Darian Durant was injured in the Banjo Bowl on Sunday.

Head coach Corey Chamblin said Monday that Durant has an injured arm and would not play in Hamilton on Sept. 14.

Chamblin did not elaborate on the extent of the injury or say if it would keep Durant out of other games.

The Riders beat the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 30-24 on Sunday. Durant was taken out of the game in the 3rd quarter after a hit by Winnipeg defensive lineman Bryant Turner.

Backup quarterback Tino Sunseri replaced Durant for the remainder of the game. Sunseri is expected to make his first career start against Hamilton.
