Woman chased down, sexually assaulted in park, police say

A woman was chased down in a city park, tackled and then sexually assaulted on Sunday afternoon, police say.

Toronto police say the attack happened in Roding Park, near Keele Street and Wilson Avenue, at 2:30 p.m. The victim was 28 years old. She was walking through the park at the time of the attack.

The suspect is described as a white male with a heavy build who is approximately 50 years old. He had a black and white beard and wore a black baseball hat, a black windbreaker, a blue shirt and black shorts.
