Calgary Power Outages Leave 30,000 In The Dark

Dozens Of Communities Affected By Power Outages

Wake up to a power outage this morning, Calgary?

You're not alone.

Enmax says there are power outages in many parts of the city, after a snow storm blanketed the city overnight.

The heavy snow has downed trees and powerlines, but Enmax says they aware of all electricity problems and there's no need for people to call to report outages.

About 30,000 people have been without power.

Several of the areas affected include:

  • Varsity.
  • Kelvin Grove, Haysboro, Glenmore Park, Eagle Ridge, Chinook Park, Bayview.
  • Willow Park, Acadia.
  • Rural W, Rural N.W., Greenwood/Greenbriar, Cougar Ridge, Bowness.
  • Tuscany, Rural N.W., Royal Vista, Royal Oak, Rocky Ridge.
  • Montgomery, Bowness.
  • Westgate, Shaganappi, Rosscarrock, Killarney/Glengarry, Glendale.
  • Varsity, Chinook Park, MacLeod Trail, Willow Park, Oakridge.
  • Woodlands, Glenbrook.
  • Brentwood.
  • Mount Royal, Marda Loop.
  • Spruce Cliff.
