Calgary Snowstorm: Photos Of September Snowfall On Twitter, Facebook

Calgarians woke up to more than 10 cm of snow, snarled traffic and power outages due to a late summer snowstorm on Wednesday.

Local utility Enmax estimated that some 30,000 people were without power across the city and Mayor Naheed Nenshi urged people to be careful on the city's roads.

Calgarians also took to Twitter and Facebook to post photos and complaints about the wacky weather.

We also asked HuffPost Alberta readers to send in their photos of the snowstorm. We're glad to see that the kids are enjoying building the rare September snowman.

The good news? Forecasters say that the snow should taper off later on Wednesday and temperatures will climb above freezing on Thursday and Friday.
