Quebec reaches deal on raises for general medical practitioners

Quebec’s general practitioners’ federation has reached an agreement in principle with the provincial government on the issue of pay raises.

The federation and the Liberal government agreed to spread raises over eight years.

The Liberal government had wanted to spread pay raises for general practitioners over nine years.

The federation, the FMOQ, wanted them spread over six years, but recently revised its offer to seven years.
