Rob Ford meets voters ahead of Ford Fest

Rob Ford was knocking on doors in Etobicoke on Friday, talking to voters in Ward 2 where the hopes to regain the council seat he held before becoming mayor. 

It was Ford’s first public appearance since he was diagnosed with cancer. He is also expected on Saturday to attend Ford Fest, the campaign party held in support of his brother Doug, who is now running for mayor in his place. 

Mayoral candidates John Tory and Olivia Chow also have scheduled events in Etobicoke. 
Tory will be canvassing in Ward 5 before heading to Scarborough. Chow is at the Mount Pleasant Village harvest fair and will then head to the opening of her new York and Etobicoke campaign office.
