Would Your Kitchen Pass A Restaurant's Health Inspection?

Though we may hold restaurants to a higher standard when it comes to cooking, it's doubtful most people would expect their home kitchens to be dirtier than a professional environment.

But that's the cold, hard truth, as explained by Pete DeLuca, a health inspector in New York, who says probably 75 per cent of kitchens wouldn't pass the test given to restaurants.

Among the biggest culprits of spreading germs in the kitchen is a lack of handwashing, as well as fridge designs that allow for (ick) juices from meat to drip onto our fresh produce.
