This DC Comics Batman Shirt For Girls Is All Kinds Of Wrong

This Shirt Is All Kinds Of Wrong

We've seen many insulting shirts geared towards women but the latest offender really hurts.

A blogger found a DC Comics Batman shirt for girls that features the slogan: "Training to be Batman's Wife." Naturally, the font is in pink because all girls like pink. UGH.

First of all, women don't need training to be someone's wife (unless maybe you're a princess in some foreign land and it's required) because d'uh, we have better things to do like, oh, we don't know, be writers/inventors/astronauts/politicians/mothers/thinkers, etc. You get the idea.

Also, what does "training" mean anyway? Does it involve having to get up at 5 a.m. every day to prepare meals for your future husband? Does it mean learning the basics of cleaning the caped crusader's batmobile? Does it mean having to work out every day to fit into your wife outfit? Just. No.

Unfortunately, this isn't the first sexist tee to hit retailers. A Marvel Comics "The Avengers" shirt for teen girls had the slogan "I Need A Hero" while the boys' version said "Be A Hero."

Now, please excuse us while we put on our capes and go out and save the world from sexism.
