A man is recovering in hospital after accidentally shooting himself in the arm while driving.

Calgary police say EMS got a call Monday night from a man who said he shot himself in the left arm while he was driving.

It happened at about 7:30 p.m MT in the 11000 block of 146th Avenue southeast.
