Woman Drives With Teddy Bear In HOV Lane In Washington State (VIDEO)

This Is 1 Way To Drive In The Carpool Lane

A 19-year-old woman from Everett, Wash. had to grin and bear it when she was caught speeding in a carpool lane with a giant teddy in the passenger seat.

The woman was stopped in Lynnwood while driving a vehicle at 74 m.p.h. in a 60 m.p.h. zone on Interstate 5, Trooper Mark Francis told The Seattle Times.

When the officer stopped her and caught a glimpse of the oversize passenger, the driver said it was because she couldn't find anywhere else to put it in the vehicle, Francis said.

You must have a "specified number of passengers" in order to drive in the carpool lane in Washington. A teddy bear doesn't exactly qualify.

She now faces an $818 ticket for speeding, driving in the carpool lane and for being on the road without insurance.

We've heard of people driving in the carpool lane using a dummy but this is just something else.

At least the driver has something to hug when she feels down.
