Taylor Swift's Vogue UK Debut Shows Her Pop Star Transformation

Taylor Swift Gets A Hair Makeover

When you're appearing on the cover of your first Vogue UK issue and you're Taylor Swift, nothing but the coolest hair, makeup and clothes will do.

So, thankfully the editors at the fashion bible did Taylor proud when they gave her a cool hair makeover and dressed her up in unexpected duds for the Nov. 2014 issue.

For the cover—shot by Mario Testino—the 24-year-old "Shake It Off" songstress sits with her legs tucked under her and wears a baby pink MIu Miu jacket over a sexy blue cable knit tank dress.

However it's the singer's hair that we can't get enough of: slicked back and tousled, Tay has finally transformed into the pop star she was meant to be.

It's not just her style that's changing either. Taylor's latest album "1989" is a drastic 180 from her usual country sound, veering into Katy Perry territory.

"This time around I've chosen the brave and bold way of going about things," she said to Vogue. "Because with this album I've completely changed the sound of everything I've done until now. So it's interesting to not be afraid of that. You know, I don't want to hurt people's feelings, I don't want to betray Nashville, whatever, but essentially it comes down to challenging yourself as an artist."

But her new look doesn't mean she's ready to start dating again.

"Dating or finding someone is the last thing on my mind," she said, "because I can't picture how it could work with the way my life is.I don't know how a guy is supposed to walk next to his girlfriend when there are 20 men with cameras, and he can't protect his girlfriend because that's the life she chose."

Girl, do your thang solo!
