LOL-Worthy Video Skewers Air Canada's Absurd Luggage Rules

And you thought paying $25 for your first checked bag was the most infuriating thing about Air Canada's luggage rules.

A new video mercilessly skewers just how inconsistent the airline is when it comes to what you can and cannot bring on board a plane as a carry-on.

Specifically, the clip takes aim at Air Canada's policy regarding musical instruments, which allows you to bring aboard large instruments like guitars, accordions and even bagpipes, but not diminutive violas.

To be fair to the airline, Air Canada recently told the musical blog Slipped Disc that it is reviewing the rules which allow you to bring a violin on a plane but not a viola.

On the other hand, the airline has begun cracking down on carry-on luggage it deems to be too large (totally unrelated to the new fee for checked bags, of course).

On the whole, it seems travelling by air isn't likely to get more convenient any time soon.
