You've put on your workout gear, you've gotten yourself to the gym, and you are ready to make it burn. But unless you're doing the exercises correctly, you may as well not be there at all.
The helpful instructional video above from Buzzfeed runs through eight common (and generally great for you) exercises that many people are doing wrong. The changes may seem small, like keeping your feet together instead of separate during a wall sit or sticking your butt up during a plank, but they can mean the difference between working the proper muscles and doing nothing at all.
Of course, the incorrect postures in the video are often exaggerated, but that doesn't mean it's a bad idea to remind yourself how to do these exercises properly.
