Before Lights made it big and was concert-touring around the world, she was already on the move. As the daughter of missionary parents, the Juno-winning Canadian spent her time in countries like the Philippines and Jamaica. Her time in some of the world's least fortunate places shaped her views on the causes closest to her heart, like world hunger.
