(AOL) - Actress Sarah Goldberg, best known for playing Sarah Glass Camden on "7th Heaven," died Saturday, September 27 in her family's Wisconsin home. She was 40.
According to the Chicago Sun-Times, she died of natural causes, but an autopsy was not able to determine a specific cause of death. Her mother, Judy, told the newspaper that a heart ailment may have been responsible.
"She went to sleep and didn't wake up," Goldberg's mother told the Sun Times.
The actress, who also went by stage name Sarah Danielle Madison, had a recurring role as the wife of Barry Watson's character in the popular family drama.
Goldberg also appeared in other TV shows like "Judging Amy," "Without A Trace," and most recently "90210." Her film credits include "Training Day" and "Jurassic Park III."
The news of Goldberg's death comes just hours after reports surfaced that her former "7th Heaven" co-star Stephen Collins allegedly admitted to molesting young girls during a therapy session with his estranged wife, who was taping the conversation without her husband's knowledge.
Rumours also swirled last night that Collins had attempted suicide. The report was quickly proven false.
