Thousands of diehard Edmonton Oilers fans packed Rexall Place Friday night to celebrate the homecoming of the 1984 Stanley Cup-winning team.

The sold-out reunion, which brought together Wayne Gretzky, Mark Messier, Jari Kurri, and other players from '84 Oilers, was an especially emotional one for former owner, Peter Pocklington, who welled up in tears following a warm reception from the crowd.

Throughout the week, the team spent time together, attending reunion activities and the Oilers' home opener Thursday night. No doubt they shared stories and memories of those glory days, with their fans and with each other.
