Frost advisory ends in southern Ontario

Environment Canada has lifted its frost advisory for southern Ontario.

The agency issued the advisory for much of southern Ontario early Sunday morning. Such advisories are issued when the mercury is expected to drop to the freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops.

Residents were advised to take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees.
