CONCEPTION BAY SOUTH, N.L. - A byelection for the Newfoundland riding of Conception Bay South has been set for Nov. 5.
The seat became vacant after the resignation of Terry French, who served as the province's justice minister.
There are 30 Progressive Conservative members, 13 Liberals and three NDP seats.
In addition to Conception Bay South, the riding of Trinity-Bay de Verde is vacant after former finance minister Charlene Johnson quit politics.
No date has been set for that byelection.
