Montreal Canadiens take on Boston Bruins in season home opener

The Montreal Canadiens play their home opener tonight against their rivals, the Boston Bruins.

It's the first time the Habs will play the Bruins in a non-exhibition game since Montreal eliminated Boston in Game 7 of round two in last season's playoffs.

The rivalry is long-standing, and revenge could still be on the mind of Boston Bruins forward Milan Lucic tonight.

In the post game handshake after being eliminated last spring, Lucic allegedly threatened Montreal Canadiens players Dale Weise and Alexei Emelin.

The Canadiens opened this season with wins in three out of four games on the road. But their last game against Tampa Bay was an embarrassing 7-1 loss.

Watch CBC's Andie Bennett and Doug Gelevan discuss how all this will factor into tonight's home opener and follow them before, during and after the game on our live blog.
