Lucic apologizes to Bruins, Habs organizations and fans

It appears that Milan Lucic regrets Thursday night's actions. The obscene gesture he made in a 6-4 loss to the Montreal Canadiens cost him $5,000, but the Boston Bruins forward decided to take it further with a public apology.

Lucic spoke to the media Saturday, where he made it clear that the gesture he directed at Canadiens fans was unacceptable. He apologized to both of the organizations and their fans.

"Obviously not proud of what I did there," Lucic said after the Bruins' morning skate. "Just want to apologize to our organization for embarrassing the Bruins' organization. Also want to apologize to our fans and also apologize to the Montreal Canadiens' organization and to the Canadiens' fans. I know they can get under your skin sometimes, but they are great fans."

Despite the apology, many hockey fans doubt Lucic's sincerity. They took to Twitter to voice their opinions on the controversial Bruin's forward.
