Surrey homicide: man found dead in rooming house

Homicide investigators were called to a rooming house in north Surrey on Sunday night after a man was found dead by emergency responders.

Paramedics were first called to the home on the 11000 block of 136th St when someone reported an assault had left the man unconscious and not breathing.

Emergency responders found the man dead and locked down the scene until members of the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team arrived.

Several people were taken in for questioning by police, but the victim's identity and the cause of death have not been released.

Neighbours say described the run-down house as a rooming house.
