Muslims reflect on extremism after St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Ottawa attacks

Quebec's Muslim community is decrying the attacks this week in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu and Ottawa.

It's very difficult to keep extremism out of Montreal, said Montreal Imam Omar Kone, but the majority of Muslims in the province are moderate and peaceful.

Kone's mosque, al-Iman mosque in Mile End, is considered progressive, but he says some people convert for the wrong reason.

CBC's Shari Okeke spoke to a number of people in the community, including Kone.
