Grand Prix of Figure Skating: Skate America, 7:50 p.m. ET

The ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating season opens this weekend with the Skate America event in Chicago.

CBC's coverage continues with the men's and ice dance free programs. 

The Canadians who will compete in Chicago are:

- Men: Nam Nguyen

- Dance: Nicole Orford and Thomas Williams; Elisabeth Paradis and Francois-Xavier Ouellette

- Pairs: Vanessa Grenier and Maxime Deschamps
