It looks like Mother Nature might smile down on Alberta this winter.
Accuweather.com is predicting a milder, if not blustery, winter for much of western Canada.
Despite September's surprise storm that left southern Alberta under a thick blanket of snow, Accuweather's long-range forecast says Alberta will see "less snowfall than usual," according to a press release.
Along with less snow, the weather service is predicting
slightly above-normal temperatures, and the possibility of a windier winter than usual.
Accuweather's forecast, however, goes directly against what the Old Farmer's Almanac said is coming to the Canadian prairies this winter — colder than normal temperatures with above average snowfall.
In conclusion, Albertans should probably carry on like they always do when it comes to weather. Prepare for the worst, hope for the best, and always, ALWAYS, expect the unexpected.
