All-You-Can-Eat Whoppers Promotion Launches In Japan

Burger King Japan

Burger King has brought back its all-you-can-eat Whopper challenge to customers in Japan, where extreme eating is a competitive sport.

For one week, the fast food chain will offer an all-you-can-eat deal for its signature Whopper in restaurants across the country for 1,200 JPY ($11 USD).

But the deal doesn’t come without a few conditions.

Before embarking on the binge-fest, customers have to first purchase a “B”IKING Challenge Set for 1,200 JPY: two Whoppers, medium fries and medium drink, reports

Only after finishing the first meal can customers return to the counter for their next sandwich.

Likewise, they only have 30 minutes from the time they order their initial Whopper set to take advantage of the deal.

The Whopper buffet promo has been a hit in the country since it was launched in 2010 and runs November 4 to 13.

Japan is the country to beat when it comes to competitive eating, with ambassador Takeru Kobayashi considered the world’s most fearsome champion as the Guinness World Record holder for hot dog, meatball, Twinkies, hamburgers, pizza and pasta-eating contests.

Earlier this year, The Olive Garden restaurant chain kicked off an online furor when it launched a $100 Never Ending Pasta Bowl pass in the US that entitled the cardholder to all the pasta, salad, bread and soft drink they could eat for seven weeks.
