The intersection near Toronto Western Hospital was blocked off by work crews early Monday.
The following streets are affected:
- Dundas Street West is closed from Ossington Avenue to Spadina Avenue- Bathurst Street is closed from Queen Street West to College Street.
Some local traffic is being allowed into the area but the Bathurst-Dundas intersection is completely off limits to vehicle traffic.
CBC reporter Linda Ward was at the intersection Monday as road crews were blocking off the area with highway cones.
"There's already lots of confusion this morning as cars try to navigate through this labyrinth of one-way streets in the area," she reported. "Either they didn't know about the closure or they forgot."
The closure will require the following diversions on TTC routes:
- The 505 Dundas streetcar will divert via Spadina, College, Dundas to route. No replacement buses will operate on Dundas Street West between Spadina Avenue and Lansdowne Avenue.- The 511 Bathurst bus will divert southbound via College, Spadina, Richmond to route and northbound via Adelaide, Spadina, College to route.
The work is scheduled to wrap up on Nov. 20.
