If you thought barcode reading coffee machines were advanced the robot selling them will blow you away.

Nestlé Japan recently announced they will be using emotion detecting robots to sell Nescafé Dolce Gusto and Nescafé Gold Blend Barista coffee machines.

According to Food Beast, the first of its kind robot is name Pepper and has the ability to read and respond to human emotions.

The technologically advanced robots are equiped with the latest voice and emotion recognition software. Kohzoh Takaoka, President and CEO of Nestlé Japan believes this creative customer service model will expand across the globe with Japan further noted as innovation leaders.
