Joe Anglin Quits Wildrose, Says Party 'Immature' And 'Childish'

RIMBEY, Alta. - Joe Anglin says he is not the source of problems within Alberta's Opposition Wildrose and is ashamed the party is blaming him.

Anglin left the Wildrose to sit as an Independent after learning that leader Danielle Smith wanted him out.

Smith told reporters today that she believed Anglin was secretly recording caucus meetings and his departure had resolved many issues facing the party.

Anglin says he never recorded any conversations.

He says the accusation makes him sad and calls the Wildrose — quote — "childish" and "immature."

Anglin isn't considering legal action, saying he doesn't want not to sink to the level of his former party.
