Toronto man accused of robbing 2 TTC collectors in October

A Toronto man has been charged in connection with a pair of robberies that occurred at TTC stations in October.

Toronto police say that a man robbed a TTC collector at Wellesley station on Oct. 15. It is alleged that the suspect threatened the employee and demanded money, which he received before fleeing the scene.

On Oct. 31, a similar incident occurred at Rosedale station. In this case, police say TTC security officers were nearby and they arrested the suspect.

A 56-year-old Toronto man is charged with two counts of robbery, as well as a single count of possession of property obtained by crime.

The accused was due to appear in court over the weekend.
