Go big or go home!
Victoria's Secret is known for sparing no expense when it comes to its bejeweled lingerie so how did the American retailer top the $10 million Fantasy Bra it put on model Candice Swanepoel last year? Easy: two Fantasy Bras!
On Monday, Victoria's Secret revealed the blingin' underwear on veteran Angels Alessandra Ambrosio and Adriana Lima, who modelled the head-turning bras before they were shipped to London for the December runway fashion show.
The bras, which are valued at $2 million each, contain sapphire, ruby and diamond sets created by Pascal Mouawad. According to People, each set contains 16,000 gems and is accompanied by 18 karat gold-strung jeweled body pieces. In total, the bras took more than 1,380 hours to make!
Lima, who has walked the runway for Victoria's Secret many times, expressed her enthusiasm about getting to share the spotlight with her friend and fellow Angel. "This year was even more special because for the first time two of us would be wearing it and the other Angel was my close friend Alessandra," Adriana said. "I was super excited. It’s so great to be able to share the honor with such a good friend!" She added: "When I first put it on, I thought, this is so incredibly beautiful. Then I thought, 'Wow, my chest is worth a lot of money right now!'"
Last year's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show took place in New York City (where Taylor Swift performed her greatest hits) but this year the Angels are flying across the pond to strut their stuff on the London catwalk. Rumours are swirling that Kendall Jenner may walk the Victoria's Secret runway for the first time and while we don't know who will be performing, we can bet that they will be amazing.
