Bobby Hull's game-worn jersey from inaugural Jets season sells for over $122,000

DELSON, Que. - Bobby Hull's game-worn jersey from the Winnipeg Jets' inaugural World Hockey Association season has sold for $122,057 at auction.

The jersey was one of several items featured among the 88 lots from his son Brett Hull's personal collection that were recently up for auction.

The blue, durene knit jersey was worn during the 1972-73 season after Hull left the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks for the upstart WHA. Hull went on to lead the Jets to two Avro Cup titles.

There was no immediate word on who purchased the jersey. The Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction closed Wednesday.
