Jenique Dalcourt homicide: Search perimeter widened

The search perimeter surrounding the area where Jenique Dalcourt was brutally attacked has been widened as Longueuil police continue to search for clues in her homicide.

Const. Mark David of Longueuil police said investigators searched through the cemetery that borders one side of the bike path and a baseball diamond in Paul Pratt Park. The search began around 9:45 a.m. and wrapped up around 3 p.m.

The 23-year-old Dalcourt died in the early morning hours of Oct. 22, following a brutal attack while walking home late the night before.

A male suspect was arrested by police Oct. 25, but was released the next day due to a lack of evidence.

David said the man remains an important witness.

He asked anyone with information to call 450-463-7211. He said all calls are treated confidentially, 24 hours a day.
