Cargo train derails north of Sept-Îles, Que

A cargo train derailed Thursday morning, north of Sept- Îles, Que.

Quebec provincial police said the train derailed close to 7:30 a.m. in a remote location on Quebec's North Shore.

Officials said the area is difficult to access, and officers have not yet arrived on the scene.

A team of investigators with the Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) is also en route.

The cargo train was being operated by the Quebec North Shore and Labrador railway (QNS&L).
