NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE, Ont. - Two-time national champion Samantha Cornett will lead the host Canadian side at next month's WSF world team squash championship.
Cornett, the world No. 30 from Ottawa, will be making her third appearance at the tournament. She's joined on the Canadian roster by Calgary's Danielle Letourneau, Toronto's Nikki Todd and Hollie Naughton of Oakville, Ont.
Defending champion Egypt boasts a strong lineup for the Dec. 1-6 tournament at White Oaks Conference Resort & Spa. World No. 3 Raneem El Welily anchors a side that includes three top-10 players.
Egypt defeated England in the 2012 final in Nimes, France, while Malaysia took the bronze.
Top-ranked Nicol David will again lead the Malaysian side as she aims to win the only major title that has eluded her over her stellar career. The lineups for all 20 participating teams were released Tuesday by the World Squash Federation.
Canada, which finished 12th at the 2012 event, hasn't made the quarter-final round since 2000.
