As snow looms, tell us why do you love winter

As Barrie sees its first significant snowfall of the season, temperatures across Toronto continue to fall — two sure signs winter is upon us.

With memories of the polar vortex still fresh in the minds of many — not to mention the frigid temperatures, layers of sweaters and winter clothing, bad roads, short days and all that shovelling — winter is not something to look forward to.

But for those who embrace the cold weather, here's a list of reasons to love winter. If you have any to add, tweet us at @cbctoronto and use the hashtag #enjoywinter.

Skating at the Ice Trail at Samuel Smith Park

Cross country skiiing at Albion Hills Conservation Area

Play board games in one of Toronto's board game cafes

Sledding at Riverdale Park Hill
