Quebec Writer's Federation literary awards to be announced tonight

The winners of the 2014 Quebec Writer's Federation awards will be announced tonight, at a special Montreal gala at the Corona Theatre in Little Burgundy.

The winners of five $2,000 book prizes will be announced, along with the winner of the Judy Mappin Community Award, the 3Macs carte blanche Prize, and the winners of CBC’s Quebec Writing Competition.

The event, which will also celebrate the “Great Women of Words” is hosted by Canadian author Merilyn Simonds
and will feature a special performance by Moe Clark.

The event begins at 8 p.m. and is open to the public. Admission is $20.
