Martin Short writes about his triumphs and losses in memoir

Actor Martin Short, whose memoir I Must Say: My Life As a Humble Comedy Legend has just been published, speaks with CBC's Ian Hanomansing about being an author.

"It's a great sense of accomplishment, I guess, when you actually finish something like that, because whatever you think you're going to do when you write a book, you end up saying, 'if it's not heartfelt, if it's not sincere, if it's too guarded, then it's not worth publishing.'"

Born in Hamilton, the comedian who starred in SCTV and Saturday Night Live says the book deals with both triumphs and loss and that there's "no censorship to it."
