Mourani joins NDP, harassment issue in limbo on Wednesdays with Kady

Today on our Wednesdays with @Kady live chat:

- The NDP have recruited former BQ-turned-Independent MP Maria Mourani to run for them in 2015 in a newly-redrawn riding in Montreal that promises a tough fight. Just don't say that she's joined their caucus, however — keen to respect their policy of not floor-crossing without a by-election, the New Democrats won't be letting her sit with them, even as she prepares to carry their banner into the electoral battle.

- Meanwhile... the Liberals have a new recruit as well: former Conservative-turned-Indepedent MP Bill Casey will run again in Nova Scotia in a riding he dominated electorally in the past, even after he left the Conservative Party.

- Yesterday's meeting of the Commons board of internal economy didn't do much but pass the hot potato as far as the MP harassment allegations are concerned. So what happens now for the MPs on both sides?

- Plus: Michael Sona's sentence in the robocalls affair comes down this afternoon, as newly-resigned, former Conservative MP Dean Del Mastro's sentencing in his election expenses violations is postponed until January...
