According to police, the accused has worked at the university for 18 years and has held his current position for 10 years.
Police say they received a tip in October about suspicious banking activity, which led the Economic Crimes Unit to launch an investigation.
Lutwick, 58, is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 28.
