CALGARY - Occupational Health and Safety is investigating a second workplace fatality in Calgary this week.
Emergency crews were called to a northeast site Thursday afternoon where a cinder block wall had collapsed on a man.
OHS officials say the worker had been dismantling part of a building when the wall tumbled down on him.
He died at the scene, despite efforts to resuscitate him.
The man's name has not been released, but he worked for NorCal Construction.
James Ladino of Edmonton died in a Calgary hospital on Wednesday — a day after he was hit by a piece of machinery while doing utility work. (CHQR)
